I wasn't gonna say that! I'm 52 next week and I'm fitter and stronger than I've ever been*. It can get better than where you are right now. *Rugby injuries notwithstanding.

nice! i hope to get back into shape, it's just a difficult hill. covid hit me pretty hard and i did some seriousness to my back changing a tyre a few years back. had to do some physio after something made a very loud pop. haven't quite bounced back.
