i riff on catholicism. me and all of my 2nd gen immigrant friends riff on islam. it was a part of our upbringing. i dont care what jokes u make. really. but it crosses a line when i cant get a job/get treated differently than others when the only difference between me and them is my background

its all jokes until you have to make sure to whitify your name on ur resume to make it "less intimidating". or making sure there are no photos of you w a beard. this is legitimately how things were post-9/11 when trying to get a job. things have improved, slightly, but there are still extremes
