Muggs can correct me from his side if the insurance industry, but one argument is that if no insurance policies, a lot if smaller orgs don't have the capital to pay out a suit and wouldn't be able to get claims paid to victims.

Ow, if I or a family member is a victim, I'd want to see the organization run I to the ground over getting a suit paid, but yeah. It's a much .ore common thing than people realize.
