I'm 63. I *had* ADHD in the 60s & 70s when I was in school - it just didn't get labelled as such. Instead, I was punished by my teachers & parents for being lazy, forgetful, clumsy, day-dreaming all the time, etc.

Judging by my house porn, there seems to be a trend for removing closet doors in bedrooms and just leaving the closets open and I cannot, for the life of me, understand why anyone would want this? Even more baffling, I have seen some where *desks* were built in the closets, leaving no closet?!?!

Apparently. When I was in college, on the 1st day of my Chaucer seminar course, the prof was doing roll call to put names & faces together. She gets 3 names in & says, "Susan FAITH?!?!" rather than my last name. Turns out, she was also a Susan Faith. Who knew it was such a popular combo?

Ironically, my TANF worker was the best person I had to deal with. She could tell that I wasn’t at that level of need & she bent a few rules here & there to spare me as much of it as she could. And I was incredibly lucky that I had her for the whole 2 years.
