I can't even begin to imagine what this does to court dockets all over the country, including theirs--not a disclaimer, I actually can't imagine. We're in uncharted chaotic waters by design, just like post-Dobbs, with probably the same unintended consequences all over the place.

If I had to guess (and the Bruen redux decision informs a lot of it), they're operating under a weird assumption of them assuming everyone 'gets' them and then being actually surprised that this is not the case. If it were all theoretical/academic obv I could be simply flippant, but.
