Metal gear solid is a series I love everything about except actually playing them because for whatever reason I am just complete shit at them. Good at video games but bad at mgs IDK

I totally get that; at the time MGS2 was a boring movie appended to an okay game and MGS3 left me with this odd dissonance where I felt like I was brute forcing through the experience instead of actively engaging with the systems as intended (I never once used CQC, for example).
