basically said that Jim Crow was the American fascism - the book made a comparison between Fascist paramilitaries (SA, blackshirts, etc.) and Jim Crow mob violence - which leads me to think, if so much of this is repurposed, is 'fascism' a sui generis thing or simply a nastier manifestation...
