I try not to talk about Twitter on here much, as I don't think it's healthy for a new social space to be fuelled by posts about a different one. But this election has thrown into SHARP relief just how unusable it is as an app to get up-to-date news. An unthinkable reality a few years ago.

Beyond everything, the UK's election system is SO fucked. In 2019 Labour got only 32% of the vote and suffered leadership changing loss. This year Labour has a majority and is on course for a landslide with *34%* of the vote. Circus nation.

Galloway ran a DEEPLY cynical campaign, leafleting Muslim majority areas with messages about Gaza & sending material focused on "grooming gangs" and queer fear to white neighbourhoods. I shed no tears for his election loss and am glad a higher calibre of voices for Gaza have entered the Commons.

Labour failed to wipe the Tories out nearly as much as they hoped. They lost a surprising amount of seats to pro-palestine indies (could have lost more if you BASTARDS STOPPED TACTICAL VOTING, JESUS) Greens won only one extra seat, but Reform only won a handful more too. Mixed bag. Jezza remains!

A 3-hour sustained attack by dozens of right-wingers armed with clubs, bear spray, and large explosives. I saw broken bones.
