Cool - so for $20 a week all I needed to do was fire 5,000 public servants, get rid of free prescriptions and subsidised public transport, disestablish the Māori Health Authority, and borrow a couple of billion dollars a year more. Alternatively for $20 a week I could have had all of those things.

That last paragraph is so vital. Tax is an incredibly cheap way of providing a huge variety of services because of the sheer scalability of doing it at a nation-wide level.
