Not a great play, although the final scene is head and shoulders above the rest of it. Anna Maxwell Martin and James Corden are very good indeed (Corden extremely moving in a straight dramatic role).

OK. So. Very good performance from Anna Maxwell Martin. GREAT performance from James Corden, in a very different kind of role for him. He may well be a bit of a dick, but he’s a hell of a good actor. Predictable, by-the-numbers play - until the final scene, which is very, very moving indeed.

Either this ridiculous law needs to go - NOW - or we need a mandatory ID card scheme which is completely free of charge to the public. These numbers show that "voter authority certificates", as a workaround for people who don't have a passport or a driving licence, just aren't good enough.
