I went on a motorcycle trip last June, on arrival in France they were trialling/developing the system. I needed to provide my passport, fingerprints and a photo were taken. Car of three ahead of me took about ten minutes, I took about five. If it doesn't speed up it *is* going to be utter chaos.

A threat? Someone believing he'll be in a position to use it in the future? Frankly, I don't know why you'd construct a list if not an attempt to intimidate; I'd think there's a very good chance it's released. Were I on the list, the risk of my details being widely circulated would worry me.

The point of false candidates in seats they can't win? Just getting votes for the sake of the short money? Every 200 votes are worth £44.53 a year, so a candidate getting 1000 votes is worth over £1000 over the likely course of this parliament. Almost the actions of a business...

Probably. But if tories go into meltdown and turn into/merge with reform it's possible that the centrist part of their vote goes. If they move back to the centre then I think the LibDems may have trouble holding the seats they won. Also core Tory voters are surely dying off year by year?

I had the impression there were many links between British RW politicians and the American right. For example the chair of Turning Point UK is an (ex) Tory MP Marco Longhi. Its CEO was Lance Forman's son and it was widely supported by the likes of Rees-Mogg. The links go deep.

Central Spain when it was mid 40s (Celsius). I went from opening clothing vents in low 30s to closing them. Riding with my visor open was like turning a hairdryer on my face. Really didn't enjoy that day!
