Sadly, I think the 'streaming' mentality of keeping seasons to six or eight episodes (so they don't risk as much money) has really stifled potential story arcs. On the plus side, at least they haven't been dumping _whole seasons_ at once, which I argue is a practice that has done even MORE harm.
