Oh I understand what you were thinking. Perfectly logical! The 'code' was invented to keep the typesetters, proofers and other copy editors alert. The worst thing that ever saw actual print at my paper was 'blah blah' filling in for the name of a church

I see what you mean! Editors in the days of print were a crafty lot of control freaks. The notion of 'every creator their own editor' probably killed my mentor.

There were hundreds of Episcopal church buildings standing after the Revolution, especially in the South. Look inside, you'll see, a lot of them remained empty and inactive for some 30 years. Their Loyalist congregants fled, or didn't dare show their faces.
