- under construction Hollywood Blvd protected bike lanes are now partially open
- modest bike lane improvements done on Torrance Blvd in Redondo Beach, and on Foothill Blvd in L.A.'s Lake View Terrace

Yes - tho it's a bit of a mess - council is telling City Attorney to write an ordinance. In the last iteration the City Attorney put various poison pills in (not overtly requested by council) including upping the trigger distance from 1/8 mile repaving to 1/4 mile... so devil will be in details

Metro's 10-year $3B westside subway extension section 1 got its third budget overrun approved today. Over the last decade the overall budget has increased 20 percent. The good news is that this puts the nearly completed project on track for a fall 2025 opening. la.streetsblog.org/2024/05/16/m...

Yesterday's Valley post updated with new Metro NSFV transit improvements timeline info - good news: bus service frequency improvements (Roscoe, Nordhoff) start next month - June 23! Roscoe bus lanes expected to open this Fall.

In response to LA Metro staff report indicating they will have 100% electric buses in 2035 instead of 2030, director Katy Yaroslavsky, along with 5 other directors, have made a motion to develop plan to have 100% zero emissions buses as soon as possible.

LAX will rename its terminals, gates, people mover stations, and other facilities as part of a wayfinding enhancement program. Terminals 2 and 3 become Terminal 2/T2. Tom Bradley Terminal becomes Terminal 3/T3. People Mover stations get letters A-G.

Agree that it would be great if no scofflaw drivers drove in these bus lanes... but FWIW moving violations are harder to ticket automatically - they correspond to a driver. Parking violations only correspond to a car. Starting with this lower-hanging fruit should help.
