sounds wonderful. I really miss being close to/in a forest, we're in the desert here but we've given the critters a lot of "wilder" spaces to spend time with around our home and it's really made a difference in feel of the place. I'm glad you have so much available to you.

you really hit the nail on the head, KEI, that's exactly what we're going for the vast majority of the time. there's almost always a story going on as well, lyla is absolutely fantastic with that. I'm always in awe of the energy & creativity they bring to this and, well, everything, really.
