Cheong is an idiot, but the iOS calculator does have a UI issue - after typing 50, then plus, then 50, it displays 100, giving the user the impression that if they type x 2 =, the number they see (100) will be multiplied by 2. PEMDAS happens in retrospect, which is legitimately confusing.

Now I’m just confusing myself. I could have sworn when I was just testing this, I saw 100 after typing “50 + 50 x”, but now I’m seeing 50 on the display, so when “2 =“ is typed, the result is correct according to PEMDAS and the UI is in alignment. Oh well.

Androids native calculator does the same exact thing, and also produces the correct result of 150 in the example, but the step in between does seem misleading (displays 100) for those who don't expect or know.
