Perhaps I should say the kind of tactics we’re used to under FPTP; it depends what PR model is adopted.

Yep, absolutely – your point stands. I’m fortunate that I can (once again) vote in the UK elections and there my “strategy” – such as it was – was completely different from the one I used here.
