I offered to bring pizza to a DBA if i could get a simple table create from a script i'd written ahead of the official schedule. She looked at the script and offered to run it right away and post date the delivery. But no pizza because it would be hard to hide.

That's too bad; minor friendly bribery is sometimes a perfectly acceptable way of thanking IT professionals for favors :-) Friend of mine was head of a QA/CustomerService group, and she routinely bribed people with small Scharffenberger bars for really good bug reports or fixing annoying bugs.
