Better example than the stock market is a market fundamental like real wages for the 25th percentile which is a lot weaker and doesn't totally take into account how much more expensive housing AND transportation are because they have consistently outran avg. inflation every single year

the reason I pick this fundamental is because these people run your society. When they are more miserable everything works worse. These are your cashiers, your dishwashers, your everything that isn't "skilled" whatever that means but still essential to a functioning society.
