A new story in my series on Sable Island. I spoke with Sandy Sharkey, who photographs and advocates for wild horses around the world.
She told me the Sable Island horses are a model for how wild horses can thrive without intervention from humans.

This is a great article about single life. I love how she describes singletons as people who are "refusing to be caged by societal expectations."
This is what it's all about. There are some people who dislike anyone who won't just go along with the standard.
