People need to understand that it’s okay to find the idea of eating a dog personally repellent, while appreciating that there’s moral daylight between that and harming people (especially so if you eat other meat). You don’t have to base your favorite animals on of a strictly coherent moral system.

Good to keep in mind that SCOTUS handing down rulings from Dennis Prager’s wettest dreams was made possible in part by Mitch McConnell flagrantly violating norms in a way that put power over democratic legitimacy, and all these rulings should be binned ASAP with the same lack of reverence.
