Compassion and understanding - which I held onto for several months - simply ignoring, because she was obviously unwell and not someone I should hate….. did not work at all. Eventually, the compassion left. I hit my limit when threats to female friends I spoke to online began. Gloves came off

In my case, she was quite off. She said she’d had a vision while she was in a bookstore which told her that I was her boyfriend. And she went with that. Relentlessly. A vision in a bookstore.

Shitty. Good luck with that. I had one on twitter for 7 or 8 months. An unbalanced, off the meds, previously involuntarily committed, known to police, harassing of my friends type of stalker. Managed to be rid of her when I got angry enough & started harassing back.

If I had a properly functioning mind, I wouldn’t be on social media. It’s bad for me & just another addiction. When I’m depressed, it’s a low-effort escape. When I have anxiety, my mind sometimes just “locks up” and I get stuck here. I can’t explain that. But in the end, it makes me feel empty.
