I related alot to the post-religious journey in this article when it's that intense as a kid it burns you out, and the thought of redeeming any of it is so disheartening, legit *triggering* even but over time you can find healing and re-engage with spirituality, whatever that means to you 🥰

The thing is that it shouldn't be that way at all. It's brainwashing. It's trauma-inducing. It's child abuse.
