This is wild stuff. I spent much of my childhood being told by friends who were conservative or orthodox that I wasn't "Jewish" enough...now there's a NY Congressman, who isn't even Jewish, telling me that. What an absolutely weird, m-f'n world we live in...

People like to say NYC isn't real America. After 9/11 Jon Stewart said "it was American enough for al Qaida." I feel like it's a similar vibe here. Anyone who thinks you aren't Jewish enough should ask an antisemite whether you are.
