Loving this partnership between RA and SoundCloud. I love RA, they're a great platform, have great music journalism, and fair ticket handling charge. They care about music, musicians, and show you can do that and not fuck over people (cough, Ticketmaster).

Went to Soul Summit yesterday in Brooklyn. I've been going to Soul Summit since 2010 👴🏾

also from a business perspective, Citibike is a good example of how to both have an ARR and a variable pricing structure on top of it. Even with their partnerships that give out free memberships, they can manage to still rake in money because the high inventory of ebikes and their ease of use.

probably not, they say it's related to increase in demand. they have to MANUALLY swap out every battery, which is completely NUTS from an efficiency perspective. the DOT and the ConEd have been dragging their feet for years to set up power supply for stations and are only now at a point of piloting

Citibike just announced that they are increasing the price of ebike per minute.
They will also be initiating a price cap but only if you go in and out of Manhattan?!?
There is a quip here about congestion pricing somewhere but I'm too tired this morning to make one

Is the Bridgy account only for puppeting or can we log into it? I used Mastofeed for RSS, would be cool to have Bridgy connect to it

As soon as it's stable, I would like to migrate my Masto to I guess my Bluesky-to-Masto automated presence, that way folks on Mastodon will see my posts from here. But this would still lead to a fractured followers/following world because all the Masto folks won't be following me, but my bot 🤷🏾♂️

I'm increasingly noticing the amount of biometric scanning being used at airports these days (even domestically). I'm frustrated w/ lack of informed consent and the fact that they don't announce your right to opt-out.
You do, in fact, have the option to decline the biometric scan.

🧪 Happy 100th Torsten! 🧪 This photo is a blast from the past. Ten years ago, I was part of the US delegation to the Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates. It was an experience! There were like forty Nobel Prize winners in Physiology or Medicine just hanging out with 600 or so fellow young scientists!
