I'm listening to the audiobook of Fellowship of the Ring whilst exercising and whilst it doesn't hold up as well as I remember from reading it aged 12, I do like how expressive Tolkien's hobbits are. There's none of the overly stoic characters a lot of fantasy writers fall into the trap of overusing

Remembering how years back GW had a campaign for Warhammer fantasy that was briefly set in their version of Britain (Albion) and how they very quickly were like 'this was a mistake' and went back to having it magically sealed off from the rest of the continent.

Playing through the original translation of Pathologic to get some footage and thinking 'wow this isn't as glitchy as I thought it would be'. Then a few minutes later all the interactable objects in the game broke and the ingame clock stopped and bricked a time dependent side quest in the process.
