Trina Robbins was a force of nature, a feminist comics hero, and a fellow short person. Her unfuckwithable attitude, gorgeous comics, and herstorian work on forgotten women cartoonists will be remembered forever.
It was one of the greatest moments of my life when Trina Robbin’s asked me to draw a comic for the A Minyen Yidn anthology - after at Fantagraphics while Pretty in Ink was published.

"The first verse of [Joni] Mitchell’s song 'Ladies of the Canyon,' featured on her 1970 album of the same name, is a portrait of Ms. Robbins:
"Trina wears her wampum beads
She fills her drawing book with line
Sewing lace on widow’s weeds
And filigree on leaf and vine."
