In the beginning the podcasts were spaced by twenty-four weeks, then twelve, then six, then every two weeks. In four days, we could be seeing a new podcast every eight hours until they are coming every four minutes.

Well, on equal footing, it turns out. Unless the remaining 5 seats are all theirs. So could’ve been worse, I guess. Still not ideal…

Pleased to see the Tories get a kicking, disappointed to see that it wasn’t bigger. Pleased to see the Greens getting 4 seats, disappointed to see Reform getting 4 seats (although very pleased it wasn’t the projected 13) - at current count that is, of course. It could still all change…

By the power of Earl Greyskull, I will have the power to actually do things today whilst basking in the glow of this brave new world we wake to! Well, it’s a new world, anyway. Well, it’s different. Well, it’s kind of different. Well, it could’ve been worse.

Not staying up to watch this - I can have a good night’s sleep and be still be depressed in the morning just as easily. Fuck the Tories, fuck Labour, fuck Reform, and especially fuck the Tories one last time on their way out the fucking door. Fuckers.

Yeah, that’s a huge concern. SNP running to the right to counter that, the Tories running to the right to bring back from Reform, and Labour going either further right to try and outflank both. Good times ahead.

Bit of a What If, but the sentiment from Optimus feels appropriate tonight.

This could end up being a good thing for the Independence movement, maybe. In the long run. I’m not really sure what the SNP have been offering any more, aside from “not Westminster” - which isn’t enough. They need to get some sort of vision back, and maybe this’ll be what forces them to do so.

Yup. No idea if that’s what’s happened - certainly I know I’m in my own little bubble. But I do know that enthusiasm for the SNP certainly collapsed, and even giving them the benefit of the doubt, following that.

I’d say it’s definitely something to do with abandoning the left. I mean, the SNP are a broad church, but to keep the furthest right elements of their party happy they’ve lost the left. They’ve tried too hard to keep the money and the bigots happy, and they’ve lost the vision they once had.

Mind, that’s only exit polls, so it could be better. Or worse.
I’m not staying up for this one.

Fuck me. 13 Reform? I can’t even be happy about maybe doubling the number of Greens? This fucking island. Fuck me.

I’m glad someone got the reference to that old comic. (Always got my finger on the pulse, me…)

Back from my lunchtime stint outside a polling station. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. *taps earpiece* What’s that? I *could* have-? Oh well… #VoteScottishGreens

Nice. Pretty sure they shouldn’t be harassing people on their way into the polling station. At least that’s the instruction I’ve been given for my shift later…

The night of the referendum was a month or so before the Conjunx was coming over to visit from Singapore (this was in our early days, of course), and she’d picked me up some toys, which I owed her money for. I watched in real-time that evening as the amount I owed her went up…

Yeah, certainly not an RRR beater, but an interesting story, and some really good world building and design. I did however message the Conjunx during the interval, told her I wasn’t sure if it’d stick the landing, and I’d see how the second half goes. And. Er. Yeah. I didn’t know it was a part 1.

Aye. Same. Gutted, disappointed and angry. (Which I think are all the same thing, but rule of three and all that. Or something.)

Appreciated though. If people see numbers for other parties go up then they’ll be more inclined to vote that way in the future. It’s a slow, annoying battle… but hopefully worth it. (Though I totally get the anxiety.)

We have, indeed, already done a democracy. (Because we’re that keen. And not just because the polling station is directly adjacent to the Scraplet’s nursery or anything.)
