I've purchased more games for my Switch than any of my other current consoles, and yet I've played it the least this year. Of the 39 physical Switch carts I own, there are 12 that I've never played. That's approx. 30% unplayed!! 😑

So after finishing Ace Combat 7, I had the urge to go and play Ace Combat 6 again. I have to admit...AC6 feels dummy easy after playing AC7! 😂 You can locate and lock-onto enemies from MUCH farther away, & they don't seem to move as fast, so the machine gun is actually useful. I still love AC6. 😁

Bit of a strange setup, I know, but I play all of my console games on my PC monitor using a 16 port HDMI auto-switcher commected to an internal capture card in my PC displayed through a full-screen OBS window. I don't own a TV, or a sofa. 😟 👉👈

It's 100% okay to want to learn Japanese because you enjoy anime, but do try to learn a bit about Japan itself in the process, and understand that just like TV in whatever country you're from, anime is not typically a great representation of real life in Japan.

Me when trying to save [spoiler] from committing suicide in [game]. The moment they jumped, before they could even hit the ground, I smashed alt+F4 and redid all my unsaved progress back to that point. Retried about 6 times before I got it right. That scene hurt me. 😞

I've noticed there have been some people, few, but still some, trying to bring the console war crap over to Bluesky from the dead bird. So, using my years of pre-death bird experience, I have made it a point to just block these few people and move on with muh scrollin'. 😌

4 years ago Biden said he wouldn't run for a 2nd term. I don't hate him, but he should've stuck with that plan and helped prep someone else, preferably younger, to take the reigns much sooner. I will never vote for Trump, but to paraphrase him, they're not sending us their best.

I often find AWACS telling me to focus on my target, and to not let additional enemies distract me...but that's nigh impossible when I've got bad guys locked on and firing at me almost constantly. You get practically NO support from friendlies whatsoever. 😔 I played this on Normal difficulty, btw.

Also, time limits to complete your objectives are stupidly tight. You don't get to fly around taking out secondary targets a lot of the time because you either run out of time, or run out of weapons doing so. Doesn't help that your allies are USELESS!

One big gripe I have is with the "Aircraft Tree" system of purchasing planes. Think Final Fantasy sphere grid, but with aircraft. I ultimately ended up buying a LOT of stuff I didn't want and never used just to unlock things, which always feels like a waste to me.

I'm too tall to squeeze my legs under the wheel of most tiny compact cars, but to be honest, I've never cared for ginormous beastly trucks either. I currently drive a Jeep Renegade. Small SUV. Weighs the same as a mid-sized sedan. Nice and roomy. This size vehicle is about just right for me.😌

Destroy targets with busted radar. Fly through a narrow canyon. Stay below/inside the clouds. Protect some jerks from enemies you can't see. The other games had the odd stage or two with stuff like this, but AC7 it's like EVERY DANG STAGE! I just wanna dogfight! 😩

Ok so, I'm 15 missions in now, and I think I've pinpointed why I dislike this AC compared to AC 6 and 4. This one is more about having you do silly challenges rather than just getting out there and shooting down bad guys!

I gotta be honest...so far I don't like Ace Combat 7. I'm 9 missions in and it's pretty much been, "I Can't See Sh!t" The Game. Ace Combat 6 was my favorite game on the XB360. This is kind of a disappointment. 😔

My gaming time for the previous 2 years were very much dominated by the Xbox Series X. This year's been mostly PS2/PS4 so far with Burnout 3, Champions of Norrath and Return to Arms, and Gravity Rush. Burnout 3 COULD'VE been Xbox time, if they'd only made it backward compatible (I have both).
