My brother in Christ, you don't start your statement with "Not to be a contrarian" and then follow it up with being a contrarian. Also, do you know whose timeline you're responding to? Do you know where you are, sir?

Until a few years ago, there were VERY few in PEI, my home province. But they are taking over, now. Every hike, I do a thorough check, because Lyme is no joke.

Four games of EDH in tonight. Birgi managed a win on a Hail Mary attempt off Treasonous Ogre into Sunbird's Invocation, with no other pieces. First trigger got me to Gamble, and won the 50/50 random shot to get there. Rest of the games were fun losses. All in all, a good night.

My son, at twelve, is desperately trying to get into horror movies. Because he loves FNAF, and thinks that marks the extremities of the horror genre, we are being slow in introducing things. Last night (well, the last two nights, because he needed a break), was Alien.

Absolutely. I loved Camp Damascus, and while I wouldn't put it in a YA category, it absolutely fits in there.

One time, when we moved, we had no place for shelving. So ALL of my books, not just cookbooks, stayed in storage for the better part of a year.

Yep. My mom was pregnant 15(16?) times, and only four of us were carried to term. I was the youngest, and she had weekly checkups and meds to make sure I made it. It's horrific that we normalise and ignore the dangers of pregnancy.

I literally had this conversation with my wife last night. We see it as a natural thing, and so safe and something that is totally fine. But there is a reason we try to do it in the hospital, and the recovery time is FOREVER, if you ever do fully recover from it.

We are currently under a massive snowstorm, with the province closed and ~60cm down already. So I spent about 10 hours prepping rigatoni alla Genovese for supper, and holy shit this is good.

Fuck that guy. Cooking is an intensely personal act that is shared with others of your choosing. Make things the way you want to make them.
A professional chef would likely be aghast at how I make bolognese, but that shit tastes amazing, so who cares?
