Police in Utica, New York, tackled, punched, and then shot and killed 13-year-old Nyah Mway, a recent middle school graduate who allegedly pointed a pellet gun at them.

SIG Sauer has maintained that the incidents were the result of unsafe handling and that the P320 is safe to use.

A federal court has found gunmaker SIG Sauer liable in the shooting of a man who claimed his P320 pistol fired when he did not pull the trigger. The second of several dozen lawsuits involving the popular handgun to go to trial, it’s the first in which a jury ruled the gun was defectively designed.

We made a list of the 100 schools that weathered the most gun violence within a 500-yard radius in the last decade. Eighteen of them are in Philadelphia. Mensah M. Dean visited Russell Conwell Middle School, which tops the list, and found that violence takes a toll in ways both sudden and gradual.

Today's Garland v. Cargill SCOTUS ruling struck down a Trump-era regulation that effectively banned bump stocks. In 2018, the year after the Las Vegas mass shooting, we reported on the gunman's use of the aftermarket devices that allow semiautomatic weapons to mimic automatic rifles' rate of fire.
