If you're on insta/threads, a quick demo on how trivial it is to workaround metas "ai flagging" feature. (To do anything more complex than read metadata on the scale meta is handling would require more compute than possibly currently exists)

Funny, I'm actually completely up front about my tools and processes. If i use paint, i say so. If i started from a generated piece, i also say so. If i post a "raw" generation for funsies, i also say so. You have one hell of a chip on your shoulder, and need to deal with that.

Weaponized separatism? Is that a thing? Artists were severely "damaged" when photography happened but the world kept trucking on. The arts adapted. They will adapt to this as well.

Kinda related - the major CC companies have a "lifetime limit" for customer initiated chargebacks once you hit that, you can't do them anymore. (It's a high ceiling. You gotta be actively doing the fraud or be very stupid to hit it.)

You can get really interesting results by asking midjourney to mash up very different concepts. These came from "concept art in the style of NC Wyeth" but rendered with the niji algorithm. I feel like im looking at Murasaki crossed with Maxfield Parrish

I was 25 on 9/11. In the decade that followed, I absolutely guarantee the we were in The Shit(tm) and knew it, AND many of us DID have historical context. What we did not have was any fucking power to stop the handbasket on its way to hell.

The idea that you can make a legitimate living as an indie artist purely through social media is a pipe dream sold to you by influencers. There is no social site/app/service that will do that for you. The "success stories" are basically lottery winners.

From age 14 to about 30 I worked for indie artists and sold my own work at art shows, craft shows, renfaires, cons, and the occasional flea market. It is a hard, grueling way to make a living with almost no long term security.
