3pm and 10 miles to go! Prolly should have taken more rest stops - and i may feel that in my legs later - but the mild temp does not have my body calling for rest. This would have been more of a slog in the afternoon heat!

Mile 29. Decided to push on to smyrna and stop at publix deli. It's mostly bike path from here and it's nice to not have to keep on eye on traffic so much.

Mile 23.1, marietta. Tire fixed about 30 min or so ago. Rain, thunder lightening. Ducked into a gas station for a bit. Want to find some cheap eats and chill a bit. Spirits are good. Pretty enjoyable mostly.

We have offcially entered the adventure zone. Got a spare tube and tools. If the tire's destroyed someone's gonna get a call. :-) Rain is still paused and even hints of sunshine. Set back, not disaster.

Dry morning so far. Yay! But strong winds overhead. Will probably hit rain at some point today but i expect the winds will present more of a struggle. Breakfast, then finish packing and i'm off!

Rain tomorrow heading home. Mostly ready to go. Will need to break down the tent & pack a few things. Having a no-cook breakfast. Want to get an early start cuz rain means slower going, more care and i want to avoid feeling rushed. In good conditions could be home by 5 so i'll target 7. We'll see.

Took s spill a few miles back. Tried to avoid a deep rut in sidewalk and toppled over when my front tire couldnt get back on the sidewalk due to the extra weight of my gear. Damnit. Scraped my knee and the mirror broke off. So doing a duct tape repair.

Mile 18.6, Chattahoochee river. Turned too early for paces ferry and had to climb a steep hill to recover. 2nd time i made that mistake! Taking a short break then onto marietta and lunch.

Mile 42, stone mtn. Lunched in lithonia. Lot of rolling hills. Pretty warm.

Mile 25. Reached arabia mtn park. Tougher going. More climbs as expected. First seg was basically a long decent to South river so naturally i'd have to climb out of that. But its al bike path, mostly shade and welcomed switchbacks at the end.

Dry run ride. Pretty easy going so far. Nice cool morning air. Heavy silt build up on section along South river . Bike started to slip out from under me when pedal assist engaged. Think i want to get tires w/ better tread.
