It’s literally one of the most RIDICULOUS arguments I’ve EVER heard. The PRESIDENT, the most powerful person, is the only one who isn’t an officer? And only an OFFICER has to abide by the rules? That’s a load of shit. It’s the OFFICE of the president. That he would be exempt is absurd and corrupt.

Don't argue with me, argue with Lessig and Lash, who appear to have the legislative history on their side. What it *should* mean, or what we wish it meant, is immaterial. All I'm saying is there's enough there for the "originalists" to rely on. And if they do, it might backfire like Dobbs.
