The other thing I find hilarious (so, yes, I'm a touch condescending) is that this is the one you think is real. There's something like 4000 deities out there, but this guy. Yup he's the right one. ...despite history proving the book is fiction. Have your faith, be my guest. I don't need it.

The fun part is you think it's a choice or that it has anything to do with "reality", do you look for recipes for soup in a book of poetry, or for advice on life from a APA style guide. You literally just have the same mindset as the fundies, just on the other side of "God is a literal guy" childish

The Biblical god is actually a composite of *at least* 3 originally independent deities, 'El, Ba'al and Yahweh. The history of the deity and the Bible are far more complicated than most pastors would teach their congregations. Fancy that.
