Correct, microphones pick up AC background and it's difficult to get rid of without expensive noise reduction tools (that also affect the quality of the voice on top of the AC). Even worse since AC tends to turn on and off as needed.

yeah, my closet is the quietest place in the house other than being right next to the A/C unit! a downside of having a pretty good mic is that it picks up the sound
