Trump was rushed to the hospital and given a test that's only given to people suspected of having had a stroke. (the one he brags about) He says he passed, but we don't know for sure because when he left, his private goon squad confiscated his records.

For instance, and this is just me spitballing, a throwaway 30 second training scene to establish that Anakin's temper overrides his training sometimes, and then you can replace "I have the high ground" with "Anakin, don't" or some other subtle callback.

I've always maintained that the prequels could have been amazing with a few dialog tweaks in the right places. But I believe at that time, George was the ruler of all he surveyed and there was no one willing to stand up and say "George, this is stupid".

I would imagine there was probably a bit of shock to find that CNN intended to let trump make stuff up out of thin air while not answering a single question he was asked. Like you say, the second half was better and the post debate speech was worlds apart from those first 20 mins.
