This skeet got quoted by someone saying "we have megafauna on earth and we don't/shouldn't behave like that," and while I respect that on principle, the megafauna we have on earth are bite-sized compared to a vast swath of Star Wars megafauna. I mean a rancor could straight-up eat a moose, for real.

Also, we all live on the same planet. We don't ever just pick up and touch down somewhere else and immediately have to deal with an ecosystem with things that we are delicious and bite sized to.

Wookiees are basically bipedal megafuana themselves and they still regularly get got by the wildlife on their homeworld, generally considered one of the most beautiful *AND* most deadly planets in the entire galaxy. They didn't come up with those hoss-ass bowcasters for funsies, they're tryna live!
