I used to work for UT-Austin and would look forward to the annual “Do Not Touch Bats” email from campus safety, let you know that spring had truly sprung.

UNBC (University of Northern British Columbia) every year has to warn students to not approach moose. Especially mothers with young. Presumably warnings about bears would be unnecessary.
