It's easy for Trump to pretend to distance from this shit because it's politically toxic to many in the GOP but also because this group is basically the wanna be Brownshirts offering a playbook and troops to their Fuhrer. They'd do well to remember that history. 🗡️

What's crazy is that vets as a group tend to vote for the Rs, but this should have them all up in arms. Far as I can tell, none of the big veterans' orgs has said a damn thing.

The article says the proposal was written by one of Trump's own VA appointee's chief of staff. It's not exactly something he should be able to distance himself from as brownshirt wannabees. It was from someone hired by someone he himself appointed. Part of Trump's top level admin!

This is mister "stand back and stand by" after all, and for all that he is a mighty scumbag and gaping orifice, he is a practiced master of "just sayin'" in a way that communicates his idea to his loathsome cadres, but apparently is very difficult to prove or stick on him. It's rather frustrating.
