Is generic bad then? From a very cursory glance it's a light weight system, roll your stat dice and add your stats value, beat a target number (eg d8+5 vs TN 9). Can spend health to gain certain effects, Sorcery also uses health.

Tldr If you are new to the hobby you might have never seen much of the content. Definitely worth a read. If you are a grognard there are a few new bits inside. However a lot of it is just a reprint of the first printing 0e core books, supplements 1-3, the Outdoor Survival Map and bits of Chainmail.
