627 N. West Street is a townhouse in a neighborhood that's almost exclusively townhouses, on a busy intersection across from a Metro stop. Someone who knows more about the law than I do will have to tell me how this person has standing to sue.

I got in way over my head building a deck at the cabin which has set us back sailing-wise this season, but we did make it out on an overnight to Annapolis last week.

Balkans. We did Croatia-Bosnia-Montenegro a few years back and it's one of my favorite trips ever. Half the price and half the crowds of Western Europe, unbelievable scenery, great food, fascinating cultural landscape and recent history.

I'm all for it, though I'd be surprised if the development pressure existed to acquire and demolish dozens of $1M+ homes to build mid-rise condos. The one-story 7-Eleven and parking deck at Yates Corner sure feels like a missed opportunity though.

Sadly it took me 5 years in Del Ray before I tried it. There's a truly mediocre weigh-and-pay lunch spot at Federal Triangle also called "Market 2 Market" - don't know if they're affiliated but it's an unfortunate coincidence

Catch a show at the Teatro Colon if the opportunity presents itself - it's one of those "acoustically perfect" opera halls, and it's a nice walk from there past the obelisco to the Plaza de Mayo. Find Evita's tomb at Recoleta Cemetery.
