Though to be fair, the gymnastics in the martial arts and so on did give me really good balance, which is very nice when you're tall with POTS & on blood thinners. I remember tossing 10 lb medicine balls back and forth in mixed martial arts class, discus throw style. Imagine a grippy bowling ball.

Without all that training, it's likely I wouldn't even be able to walk. All those years of kicking drills did a lot for my ability to move precisely and manage my center of gravity.
