My solidarity work and educational efforts have done a great deal of good over the years. I'm far too disabled for in person activities, and I'm far from alone in that. Social media is a lifeline for many of us. I once helped someone flee their home country by crowdfunding on Facebook and Twitter.

I've gotten people's rent covered, their meds, prevented evictions, kept kids from going hungry. That's not nothing. If you don't see stuff like that, that's the result of what powers your feed. You aren't interacting with the right people.
