If these proposed regulations are put in place they word protect workers in States like Florida and Texas. All states. Federal rules would override state policies.

Ricardo's worked in CAs Imperial Valley fields for 17 years. He does many jobs. He's currently cleaning canals w/a shovel so they are ready when planting starts. "It's very difficult work as the temp is 115°. I have to drink a lot of water to avoid dehydration." #WeFeedYou #CALOR

JC is a farm worker in Madera CA. He works in the almonds removing extra shoots from the trees. By removing these shoots, the water & nutrients reach the almonds and allow them to bloom and ripen. #WeFeedYou

Cherry harvest is in full swing in Grandview WA where temps are 85-90+°. Bertha, Elsa, Alma & Lucia start harvesting at 5 am when it is cooler. They work 5-6 hrs and earn piece rate of $7.50 per box of reiner cherries. They rush to earn as much as possible. #WeFeedYou

These tomato workers near Mendota CA are spending 4-6 hours a day bent over picking tomatoes. They started at 5am so they could be done before the sun reached a high of 105° that day. They are paid for each bucket they fill and the heat slows them down. #WeFeedYou

Mateo is lettuce cutter in the Chular CA area. He tells us that the season lasts for 8 months and during that time he works 8-10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. it's hard work, but he's glad for the opportunity to be able to support his family.
