Starmer got less votes today than Corbyn did in the "disaster" of 2019, which Labour have given up absolutely every principle to avoid repeating. This wasn't a Labour win, it was a Conservative loss. Remember that for next time.

I maintain that Conservatives only lost today because they finally had another right-wing party to split the vote. The centre-left and left always have had multiple parties vying for pole position, but the right have been pretty good at keeping to the Conservatives. RefUK lost the Cons the election.

Conservative voters didn't show up or defected to Reform. That's how today's result happened. Labour gained barely anything, and actually lost in terms of raw votes. Don't let them tell you this was about their platform, it was about the complete collapse of the opposition.
