Sounds like after the first chunk of the game you get access to a mercenary hiring desk, and you can just create a merc, same tools as the main character. Wasteland 3 had the same mechanic and we loved it! Unashamedly loaded up the party with our OCs and had a blast

My interest in Rogue Trader skyrocketed after hearing you can make multiple OCs with the mercenary system. Gonna make my STRONG WIFE and terrorize the galaxy
