[nutrition science]

a thing I have been thinking about a lot:

healing injuries (and connective tissue) takes more energy than "baseline"

healing injuries also makes it harder to fight or flight

so how do our bodies decide it's "safe" to repair an injury?

[nutrition science] specifically I've been wondering what nutritional or environmental cues might say "hey we have a steady, reliable supply of food, "so it's safe to actually repair injuries "instead of just doing temporary tissue repairs or perpetual inflammation"
