I have to think that's the in-universe context for the photo too. I kinda like the idea that Clark deliberately cultivates the "dark secret" that he wears a bad toupee to hide his receding hairline, as a way to distract people from the notion that he might be Superman

Having seen the other photo I wonder if it's more of a pomade situation because this isn't so far from his Superman hair that a wig would seem necessary. Its similar to the volume my husband gets when hasn't done anything to it.
