How much of “doomerism” is just being overwhelmed by a frank assessment of the situation and not being made of stone and not actually preventing getting involved in anything. Probably a lot. Maybe deal with people rather than vague tendencies personified idk

i had been under the impression that “doomerism” meant something fairly specific about shitting on all kinds of concrete action while offering no alternative, and what I’ve learned today is that to a lot of people it means “you’re making me feel bad and I don’t like it”
